Choice Stationary
An evening like an earthquake. For the third time the stern and its publisher Gruner + Jahr have presented the Henri Nannen Award for masterpieces of quality journalism. Afterwards more than 1200 guests from politics, business, culture and the media celebrated until the crack of dawn.
It is always said you should write from your gut. “Begin with an earthquake and slowly take it from there.” The film mogul Samuel Goldwyn was known to have once barked this at one of his directors and the stern-founder Henri Nannen immediately adopted this motto for journalism. It is also said, that our colleagues from the Hamburg sister-magazine DER SPIEGEL never ate honey. They chewed bees, so the saying goes. O.K. so we need an earthquake from the gut, cold and unspun.
