The Categories
The awards of 5,000 Euro each will be presented in the following five categories:
- for the best Reportage – The Egon Erwin Kisch Award
- for an especially easily understandable and clear Documentary about a complex, contemporary or historical topic
- for the best Investigative Accomplishment
- for the best Essay
- for the best Photo Reportage
The Henri Nannen Award will further be presented:
- for a life’s work in publishing
- for the dedicated advocacy of press freedom in German-speaking countries and abroad
